Sherri Day is an assistant metro editor for the Tampa Bay Times. She leads a team of journalists who cover breaking news, law enforcement and courts in Tampa. Sherri joined the Times in 2004 after a four-year stint at the New York Times. A native of Tifton, Ga, Sherri received her bachelor's degree in mass media arts from Clark Atlanta University. She completed her master's degree at the University of California at Berkeley's Graduate School of Journalism. Sherri lives in New Tampa with her husband, daughter, twin sons and cat, Midnight.
